Well-being at Lotusland

Grief Retreat with Palma Studio

Join PALMA Colectiva and Twin Hearts for a day of grillwork and healing at Lotusland Garden led by Grief and Letting Go Coach AmarAtma. Learn about grief work and apply skills and techniques to heal and release old grief. In doing so, we lighten the load, creating a greater capacity for possibility and opportunity in your life. Grief is an under-acknowledged and underestimated problem within our society today. But grief is not only a response to death. It’s a response to any significant change or end of something familiar. The impasse of transitions, the deaths of old selves, the endings of a chapter in life, or the evolution of changes as we grow older bring many invisible losses in the form of a type of grief that’s important to know: ambiguous grief. This is grief that is based on intangible and abstract losses that don’t have a clear-cut definition like death. These losses sit like a vague abstraction within your being but are indeed a grief response that requires acknowledgment and healing. In this retreat we will work with and honor all types of grief including direct loss and ambiguous grief.

The Retreat Includes:

  • Six hour day retreat
  • Organic farm to table meals and snacks
  • All workshops by AmarAtma
  • An intimate and safe space
  • Grief + Release Ceremony
  • Private access to Lotusland
  • Singing Bowl Meditation

In this retreat, you’ll learn to:

  1. Acknowledge and identify direct, invisible and ambiguous grief.
  2. Participate in guided workshops to process grief through various techniques.
  3. Apply learned skills to heal and release old grief, creating space for new possibilities.

When it comes to grief, you don’t know what you don’t know. We tend to grieve by moving on, pushing past, and rejecting the importance of things in life. Letting go is thought of as a chopping block of detachment that doesn’t release anything and instead compartmentalizes the pain that the body will have to process through chronic pain, exhaustion, and low immunity. There’s another way. Grief work can be an answer. Grief work is self actualizing work. Experience emotional healing, renewed energy, improved relationships, and a sense of purpose and direction in life.
