Lotusland Rocks! (and Minerals)
Wednesday, June 5
5:30 – 6:30PM PST
In addition to her fascination with plants, Madame loved other natural objects. This presentation, a favorite among our docents, introduces you to the
diversity of interesting rocks and minerals at Lotusland and their origins. Join Dr. Bruce Tiffney as he leads us on this fascinating exploration.
Dr. Bruce H. Tiffney
Bruce Tiffney taught evolutionary biology for 9 years at Yale
University before arriving in Santa Barbara in 1986. He has been a Professor of Geology in the Department of Earth Science and Professor of Biology and Dean in the College of Creative Studies at UCSB. His research is focused on fossil plants, explaining his apparent multiple personalities.
