Dan has been on the Lotusland Board since 2014, serving as President from 2019 to 2020 and now as an honorary Ex-Officio member. Having been raised in the neighborhood, Dan has a long-time personal attachment to the garden, and his support and commitment to Lotusland is unwavering. Dan, a Master Rosarian, is well known in the Montecito and Santa Barbara gardening community for his exceptional knowledge of roses and has been designing gardens, especially rose gardens, since 1989. Dan is the owner of Bifano & Co., Inc., a property management company. He has served on boards or committees of nonprofits such as Central Coast Congregate Care (Sarah House and Heath House), Susan Love Breast Cancer Foundation, Santa Barbara Rose Society, A.C. Postel Memorial Rose Garden, and CALM. Dan has been a member and donor since 1993.
